Negroni Blend made from Scratch N.001 is an artisanal reinterpretation of the classic Italian cocktail, crafted using a unique method that goes far beyond simply mixing vermouth, gin and bitter.
Our recipe combines more than 30 carefully selected botanicals, integrated through a meticulous production process that creates a complex and refined aromatic profile.
At the heart of this creation lies a blend of origins composed of three main elements:
• 1/3 Muscat of Alexandria wine, macerated with traditional botanicals such as wormwood, gentian, cinnamon and dittany of Crete.
• 1/3 infusion of bitter herbs and citrus, including quinine, rhubarb, bitter orange, grapefruit and ginger.
• 1/3 juniper berry infusion, adding depth and aromatic complexity.
To enhance its character, the cocktail continues to evolve in the bottle through an innovative Oak Master® stopper infusion, releasing toasted oak aromas that add structure, elegance and complexity.
The result is a sophisticated and balanced Negroni that respects tradition while offering a modern and distinctive interpretation.
Negroni history
The story of the Negroni begins in 1920s Florence with Count Camillo Negroni, a Florentine nobleman of English descent with an adventurous and creative life.
Before settling in Italy, he had worked as a cowboy in Montana, a professional gambler and even a fencing instructor in New York.
Back in Florence, he was a regular at the aristocratic Caffè Casoni on Via Tornabuoni. There, bartender Fosco Scarselli used to serve him an Americano, a cocktail made with vermouth, Campari and soda.
One day the Count asked for a stronger drink and suggested replacing the soda with dry gin.
The drink quickly became known as “the drink of Count Negroni”, and eventually simply Negroni, becoming one of the world’s most famous aperitif cocktails.
